For everyone confused by the developers words, this game runs on quest. What they meant to say was that it doesn't run NATIVELY on quest, so you'll need to play the game on your PC with a VR headset connected.
you need a cable, possibly get one from amazon, like mine who's a kiwi design 5m for the quest 3
then you need to install the meta quest link app for windows and steam vr
from the quest 3 quick menu you select "open steam link" and from there with the steam vr you select your windows desktop and open the exe game from there
Get the Oculus App software, then connect your quest via air link or cable link. Then open the game via Steam VR after adding it as a non-steam game to your library.

I have a task to take Merry’s sketches to Oliver, but I don’t notice any sketches in the inventory, I saw a sketch with a dress near Merry, but I can’t pick it up, and I also saw a sketch on the table in the hall (not far from Merry who sits on the balcony) but you can’t lift her either

Do you have one of the characters in there with you? Normally the first time you start the game and enter your room, there should be the cleaner in there. You talk to her, and if you promise not to tell her boss she is late to clean the room, she should go to the bed. Then you just stuff the toys in.
If you can pick the toys up and there's a character naked in the room, you should be able to use the toys on them. There's no buttons or anything you need to press to get it to work, so if you can't use them, your game may be bugged.
I haven't really read trough the whole thing yesterday and just thought ah hell. Well is it just toys and at least without what I assume VR controlls are it's a bit weird to play. Not to bad otherwise.
Start your VR client (SteamVR or Oculus) and the game should just start in VR automatically. It's PC only, you can't run it directly from a Quest, if that's what you're having problems with.
Open the game exe file directly from File manager as well. People have had problems using the Itch.IO app with this, if you're trying to run it from there.

Im in ther same boat as animemaster6969, I've read the controls menu but cant get the camera view to stop acting like a crab. its always in the forward view and wont pan around to see where to go. I collected the key card from the hostess and spoke with the bolvine in the dress but cant do anything else

You don't really need the cable if you have a 5ghz wifi. The Quest can get SteamVR streamed straight to it wirelessly with Meta Link.
As above, you're better off looking up on YouTube how to get the Quest working with Steam or standalone PC games.
A bit tricky trying to explain it on here. You're best bet is to look up how to run Steam games on the Quest on YouTube.

VR is more immersive, but you also have the ability to interact with characters, a hand will be added soon

I open the game in File Explorer and it works. It could be that it is not working properly from the itch.io app.
Also if you jump up on a chair at the bar where Oliver is at you get stuck and can't move.

You have to right click to move the camera around.
